A booming suburb where the hustle of the city fades away
Cypress is one of Houston's most prominent suburbs located 25 miles northwest of downtown off of US290, offering the Texas spirit in a laidback suburban retreat. The area's master-planned communities offer neighborhoods with lush green lawns, plenty of space, and a variety of amenities. Many of the neighborhoods boast golf courses, parks, and nature trails. The bustling commercial centers are easily accessible, giving residents plenty of options for places to dine or shop for the latest trends.
There are a lot of new construction homes available in Cypress, allowing buyers to customize their homes and put their stamp on them before they move in. Houses are usually generously sized, including large lots with many different styles and options. The area is located within a highly-acclaimed Cy-Fair ISD school district.
Some of the highly sought-after master plan communities include Bridgeland, with 3,000 acres of outdoor recreation, Black Horse Ranch, featuring the Black Horse Golf Club, Fairfield featuring Fairfield Athletic Club, Townelake offering a lake lifestyle in a community connected by water; and many more with their own unique features.
The Cypress master-planned communities create comfortable enclaves with premium amenities. Most of the communities have their own parks, recreation trails, and leading schools. Some also have golf clubs, private lakes, and exclusive shopping areas. Neighbors make the most of these amenities throughout the year, whether meeting for book club at the park or playing 18-holes at the local course.
While Cypress is close to all Houston offers, the community has a fantastic selection of shopping and dining closer to home. Start your shopping trip at the Houston Premium Outlets, where you'll find great bargains on top brands like Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, and Versace. Then head to The Boardwalk at Towne Lake, a waterfront commercial center offering a variety of delicious restaurants and bars. Nearby, Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee and Bakery is great for grabbing a coffee and an afternoon snack. Afterward, you can visit Willowbrook Mall. This indoor shopping center has a great selection of clothing, jewelry, and beauty brands.
When you've had your fill of shopping, visit the Local Table. The restaurant has everything from brunch to burgers and a great cocktail menu. You'll want to check out Season's Harvest Cafe, as well. This charming bistro has a huge patio where you can enjoy farm-to-table dishes and healthy juice drinks.
Many of Cypress' master planned communities have on-site event coordinators who ensure there is always something for residents to do. However, there is plenty to do outside your local neighborhood, too. Cypress Creek Trail is a network of walking and bicycle paths, perfect for a weekend outing with the whole family. Berry Center of Northwest Houston is a large event center that hosts various events, including conventions and festivals. Golf lovers will enjoy Cypress' many courses, including the 18-hole Black Horse Golf Club and the Cypress Lakes public golf course.
