Things to Do

Montgomery offers many activities, including the annual Texas Flag Celebration at Montgomery Community Center. The celebration includes living history demonstrations and displays of important historical documents. Make sure you attend Freedom Fest on the 4th of July, including the parade through the historic town center. However, Christmas may be Montgomery's highlight, with festivities kicking off in early December and lasting through the New Year. 
 
If you want a fun day out, head to P-6 Farms. The farm hosts events throughout the year, including Easter egg hunts and pumpkin picking at Halloween. Check out Fernland Historical Park, a living museum with lots of hands-on activities exploring the lifestyle of Texas settlers. You can learn more about local history at N.H. Davis Pioneer Complex and Museum, including Montgomery's role in creating the Texas state flag.
