Tomball's sister city is Telgte, Germany, and the cities have a foreign exchange student program. Tomball celebrates its German sister city with an annual German Heritage Festival on the last weekend in March. The town also hosts a German Christmas Market with more live music and over 160 vendors selling German heritage items perfect for gift-giving in the holiday season.
